In this article, Matt Tyrrell, an agent for hoopernova (not the Matrix) speaks with clothing designer, Jazmin King of Unicorn Crochet.
They discuss her relationship with her current and former sponsees.
I am writing an article about sponsorships within the flow community and would like some input from shops. Would you mind if I asked a few questions?
Sure ask away!
How many sponsees represent your brand? What do you require for submissions? What services and products do you and sponsees exchange? Pros / Cons of sponsorships?
Ok for sure I will get to these and on a computer later so they can actually be in depth for ya (smile emoticon) just got 3 customs to do today and a toddler not helping haha. Promise I will get back to you later with answers ♡
Thanks. I represent the hooping talent agency at hoopernova.com and my article is going to be submitted for publish....
Wow sweet! I feel honored you're asking me (smile emoticon) yay! I have lots of tips and pointers on what I learned from sponsoring so yay I'm stoked to put my two cents in (smile emoticon).
Currently I have 3 active sponsors.
For submissions to become a sponsor when I have positions open first and foremost they need to be active in the hoop community and social media.
They need to have basic knowledge of how to use instagram and facebook for marketing and sharing my products.
They need to be posting regularly (about once a week, though I'm not that worried about it if they don't get one a week life happens!)
And mainly just being a good face for the company, be courteous and knowledgeable of my skills and what I can do for the customer.
The products I send out always depends on the season and the individual sponsor. I hand make each design for that person so each sponsor gets different things. I even take requests from them from time to time! That is always fun!
Pros of being a shop with sponsors is just the community feel of it all! I do this for you! All my art is made for flow performers and people in that walk of life. I love all my sponsors past and present!
Cons hmmm. I can't really think of any! If you have cons with sponsors then you need to figure out what that con is and change it! I have in the past sent out whole outfits that are $140 a pop to girls who turned out were just looking for free shwag and not planning on promoting. Now I have my trio of amazing hoopers and lovely women they are @roseyjasmine @sithmom_ and @feeorinflowfairy any more questions just ask! Thanks so much oh and here is the link to my etsy page https://www.etsy.com/shop/Unicorncrochet
